1974

During 1974, Rick and Bill split with Rich and Jeff and prepared to create a new Patchwork band with a guitarist and basist from Rockford.
I recall several rehearsals at Bill place in G.R., and we were working on difficult obscure and jazzy songs, mixed with a few popular tunes.
Our plans were muddied when Rick was put on 2nd shift at Pet Inc., in Wayland. This limited our rehearsal times to weekends.
Very soon after Rick went on 2nd shift, Bill was given the chance to drum for Straight Light, and he had to take that golden opportunity. Thus ended all plans for a new Patchwork.
